Perched along a postcard-pretty cobbled street in Browns Hill Steps, the Parisian vibes inside this central Dartmouth cottage come as quite a surprise – and we couldn't love it more. Spread out over three floors, and dazzling white from top to toe, bright pops of textiles, antiques, and modern artwork bring all the French flair. Discover a light-filled kitchen with a farmhouse-style table and Aga cooker ready for long suppers and catch-ups. Up on the first floor, the lounge with oh-so-sinkable sofas feathered by sumptuous cushions – the spot to hunker down in the evenings. And finally, up into the eaves, you'll find two serene bedrooms with magnificent views of the higgledy-piggledy rooftops reaching across to Kingswear. While this home has no garden to speak, with a location this central, we don't think you'll mind. Make morning strolls along the River Dart or Avenue Gardens part of your new morning routine – they're both just a stroll away. Then mooch along to the pedestrianised shopping street of Foss Street – its mix of galleries, cafes, and independent shops is an afternoon well spent.
